For everyone who wants to try authentic samgyeupsal in South Korea, there’s a restaurant I can recommend to you. If you’re within the vicinity of Namsan, a neighborhood within Myeongdong in Seoul, you might want to eat dinner in On The Grill.
Located in between Myeongdong Station and N Seoul Tower, On The Grill is accessible to everyone who plans to eat some pork belly meat grilled with garlic and flavored with korean spices.
If you’re not in the mood for samgyeupsal, you can either have chicken bibimpab or pork belly kimchi stew and many more.
Most of the customers when we went there were locals. So we’ve been hearing a lot of “Cho-gi-yo” which is a korean phrase for “excuse me”. In case you’d try dining out, you might as well try saying “Cho-gi-yo” when asking for additional orders or anything that requires the attention of the staff.
HOW TO GET THERE
From Myeongdong Subway Station, take Exit 3. Walk towards Namsan Park or N Seoul Tower. In about a minute or two, you’ll see that the street splits into two. Take the left street and walk straight for less than 5 minutes and you’ll see On The Grill on your left.
