Each time we visit Tagaytay, we always pass by this Santorini-like hotel just along the highway. Since then, I’ve always wondered how it looks inside because all we could see from the outside is a white low-rise building with a hint of blue. I remember searching for the room price way back only to be disappointed because it’s a bit pricey. Luckily, I found a promo in Traveloka and booked a room for a lesser price.

Estancia Resort Hotel is located in Tagaytay – Calamba Road. Without traffic, it will only take you about an hour and a half to reach it from Manila. But guys, in all those years of visit to Tagaytay, it’s very rare that we make it there in less than 2 hours. So if you wish to check-in on time, give yourselves at least 3 hours and bring a book to read along the way.

Upon arrival, the guard advised us to use the elevator and press “2”. So from there, I got the notion that we were initially on the third floor. Right on the spot, it finally made sense to me that I don’t see that much from the highway.

As soon as we enter the lobby, we were welcomed by its alluring white vibes.

Though, I have to be honest here and tell you my quick conversation with the receptionist.

Me: Ate, until what time ‘yung pool nio? (Miss, until what time can the pool be used?)

Receptionist: Until 7pm po.

Me: Ahhh. Hmmm. (I was trying to have a small talk with her while waiting for my boyfriend to finish filling out the form.) Hmmm, how about ‘yung free breakfast po what time mag-start? (How about the free breakfast, what time can we eat?)

Receptionist: (Saw her frown a bit) 8am po.

Me: And until what time?

Receptionist: Discuss ko na lang po Ma’am after magfill-out ni Sir. (I’ll just discuss it after he ~ my boyfriend ~ fill out the form.)

Me: Ah sige. (Okay)

Medyo napahiya lang ako. Like it was me na nga trying to have a small talk with her while waiting for my boyfie but instead of just answering my question, she bluntly told me that she’ll just discuss it na lang.

I am not trying to badmouth her or the hotel (because I enjoyed our stay). I just want to let her know (Miss Receptionist, if ever you’d read this one day or anyone who have the same job) that if a guest tries to have a conversation, try to be friendly at the very least. I am not sure if it’s part of their job but having to welcome guests, my common sense tells me that they should at least try to. I know there’s nothing wrong with the answer, it’s just how she made me feel.

Anyway, going back, my mood went a bit gray but as soon as we saw the place we don’t usually see from the outside, it went back to yellow (if there’s such a mood – okay happy mood, I mean tee-hee).

We booked a Deluxe Room for Php 2,997.91 (one night only, from Php 5,000+ so we had a savings of almost half the price).

It’s their cheapest room but it looks like it costs so much more! Just not in the photos I have because I only took them using my phone but believe me, it feels very snug that we mostly spent our stay just sleeping. My boyfriend even have to pull me up to have dinner. Don’t blame my lazy butt though, it’s the bed! Tee-hee!

They have Santorini rooms which costs Php 6, 300 a night (via Estancia Resort Hotel Official Site) which is a bit expensive but sometimes, if you try to look for deals in hotel booking sites, you will find cheaper prices. I just didn’t have the chance to take pictures of those rooms because of course, we didn’t book one. But guests can freely look around the resort but we didn’t because…yup! I AM ON THE BED MOST OF THE TIME. Don’t think dirty thoughts though haha! I know most of you think that way when you see couples travelling. Maybe that’s why my virginity is always being questioned. But do you see any baby bumps? Baby fats, I might say yes haha. I honestly want to have babies and start our own family but we still have to save (and travel). So I guess, I’ll leave it up to you. Tee-hee!

Their swimming pool is open for use until 7 PM.

If the weather is too cold, you have a choice to swim in their indoor pool instead.

They have function rooms as well that will be perfect for events.

The next day, we woke up just right in time for our free breakfast.

After eating, we rested for a while…

and read news. Jk. Just trying to look candid. Tee-hee!

So anyway, we walk around and just took more photos before we checked out.

We were surprised to have found more villas as we go down.

It was definitely a perfect way to start the year right. Unfortunately, if ever you’re reading this, Traveloka promo has already ended. You might instead want to book with TravelBookPH to earn reward points you can use for your next booking!

Thank you for reading.

P.S. Leave no trace but memories.

With Love,

Danica

  1. This is such a nice and amazing resort! The rooms look more expensive than you’re telling and that’s always a treat! I love all the photos and the review is damn interesting

  2. Oooh eto pala yun! I always notice this too when we go to Tagaytay, thought it was a restaurant or something. Good deal you got there! Sorry about the ate receptionist, nakaka-BV nga yun, and yes she’s supposed to be accommodating since she’s in the hospitality industry. XS

    1. Me too haha dati I thought kainan din sya haha.

I just tried to understand her nlng. Maybe she’s having a bad day XD

  3. This is such a nice place! Though it’s quite a disappointment that the receptionist treated you that way. Maybe you can write a review on their site or Facebook page. But all in all I think you really enjoyed it. Really a perfect quick getaway spot.

  4. Have had a summer vacation last year on one of the villages in Tagaytay and have had the same experience with the receptionist. She was not too friendly and accommodating, but the other staff of the place were good. It’s different in Manila, where most of the receptionists, even in malls, are friendly enough to answer your query and to attend to your needs…
