Rizal, Philippines | Palo Alto Falls in Baras

Did you know that you can savor the beauty of a hidden falls in just about 5-10 minutes from the jump off point? It will only take you 249 steps to reach the naturalistic vibes of Palo Alto Falls. For all lazy adventurers out there, this is the perfect day trek for us!

Most of the trail is cemented. You could even bring your kids here for a day swim as the trail is kid-friendly.

When you get to your destination, these will welcome you!

No sweat! Tee-hee!

We went by car (with the help of Waze App), got there almost 2 hours past lunch time so we only have enjoyed the place for 2 hours as the operational hours is only up to 4 PM, if I remember it right. We paid Php 100 for the entrance fee which is not bad if only we got there earlier. Their cottages rental fee are good for Php 700 at most, depending on the size and Php 300 for the chairs and tables.

Really perfect for a quick family getaway! Will definitely return here in the near future once I have my own. Tee-hee!

Here’s my suggested itinerary:

7:30 – 9:00 – Travel time from Manila to Rizal

9:00 – ETA

9:00 – 9:15 – Park and Pay Entrance Fee to Falls

9:15 – 9:35 – Trek time (at most considering you’re in a photowalk)

9:35 – 10:00 – Rest

10:00 – 12:00 – Swim / Photo Ops

12:00 – 1:30 – Lunch / Picnic

1:30 – 3:30 – Swim / Photo Ops

3:30 – 4:00 – Rinse, Prep things for departure

4:00 – 6:00 – Travel Time from Rizal to Manila (I suggest you eat an early dinner along the way 😊 Or you can have your dinner in the overlooking restaurants in Antipolo, Rizal)

I also suggest to go there on a private vehicle and just use Waze or Google Maps or any navigational apps as I, myself, am not familiar with the commute (and honestly, I’m not good with directions hihi). This post’s goal is only to share my experience.😊

Thank you for reading!
